‘True Detective’ Season 3 in the Works With David Milch

True Detective season three is inching closer to reality.

Series creator Nic Pizzolatto is working on a third season of the HBO anthology series with Deadwood creator David Milch, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

HBO would not confirm the news.

The duo are said to be in the early stages of writing a possible third season, which has not yet received a series order.

The news of a potential third season comes nearly two years after the polarizing second season of the drama, which starred Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn and Rachel McAdams. The first season of True Detective drew wide acclaim for Pizzolatto, director Cary Fukunaga and stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.

Writing about the second season, THR chief TV critic Tim Goodman called it “confusing.”

Speaking with reporters at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in July 2015, then-programming president Michael Lombardo praised Pizzolatto as “one of the

TV Conqueror Ryan Murphy Has Yet Another New Show in the Works

It’s becoming more and more apparent that Ryan Murphy detests sleep. He dislikes vacations; he loathes free time. Any moment that is not spent nursing one of his several award-winning shows on FX—including Feud, American Horror Story, and American Crime Story—is simply a moment wasted. (He also has Scream Queens on Fox.) Thus, it shouldn’t surprise you that Murphy has another brand-new show up his sleeve: soon, it will be time to welcome Pose to the FX family.

Deadline reports that Pose, written by Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Stephen Canals, will be about 1980s New York in all its glamour and grit. Set in 1986, the show will explore the “emergence of the luxury Trump-era universe, the downtown social and literary scene, and the ball culture world,” per Deadline. Such opulence! O-p-u-l-e-n-c-e!

The show begins production in October and will star a cast mostly made up of newcomers (though Murphy

Monica Lewinsky Saga In Works As ‘American Crime Story’

With seasons two and three of FX anthology American Crime Story already in the works, showrunner Ryan Murphy is eyeing the franchise’s future beyond that, The Hollywood Reporter reveals.

Murphy has set his sights on exploring the Monica Lewinsky scandal for a subsequent season of the franchise, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. To that end, Murphy and American Crime Story producers Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions have optioned author Jeffrey Toobin’s 2000 best-seller A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President as source material. Toobin’s book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson served as the inspiration for the Emmy-winning first season of the anthology. Toobin was deeply involved in the first season and served as a consultant to the writing staff.

Sources tell THR that Murphy and producers are fast-tracking the drama and already are meeting with actresses to portray Lewinsky
