Authorities in Massachusetts have filed murder and attempted murder charges against a man who they say killed his 20-year-old girlfriend before going to a family party. When he arrived at the party, he allegedly stabbed both of his parents.
A prosecution source confirms to PEOPLE Benjamin Walsh remains in custody as the sole suspect in the murder of Olivia Bergstrom.
Bergstrom’s body was found in Walsh’s apartment in Needham on Saturday evening. She had been stabbed to death, the prosecution source tells PEOPLE.

A father and son both died from apparent heroin overdoses early Sunday morning, PEOPLE confirms.
At about 2 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a 911 call about two unconscious men: Joseph Andrade, 44, and his son, Carlos Andrade, 22, a spokeswoman with the New York City Police Department tells PEOPLE.

EMTs administered CPR to both men, the spokeswoman says. When they failed to respond, they rushed them to NYU Lutheran Medical Center Hospital in Brooklyn.
Carlos was pronounced dead at 4:10 a.m. His father was pronounced dead at 4:11 a.m.
One bag of an alleged controlled substance was recovered at the scene, the spokeswoman says. A police source tells PEOPLE the men died of an overdose of a mixture containing heroin.

Ohio authorities have released new insight into the possible motive behind a deadly mass shooting at a sex-reveal party last month that wounded eight attendees and killed one, multiple news outlets report.
According to Colerain Township, Ohio, police, investigators have uncovered multiple connections between those at the July 8 party and three different drug rings, the Associated Press and CBS News report.
The findings could lead to arrests in the future, not only related to the shooting but also other ongoing investigations, according to local TV station WXIX.
Police said July’s violence was “in no way” random, WXIX reports.
Police have not pressed charges or named any suspects in the shooting, and a spokesman could not be reached for comment. Their investigation is ongoing.

The expectant mother who told local media she had lost her baby when her gender reveal party turned into a deadly mass shooting was never pregnant, police announced.
Cheyanne Willis, 21, was one of the nine people shot at her party on July 8 when two people opened fire on the group as they watched a movie. One attendee, Autumn Garrett, 21, died, while Willis was shot in the leg.
When she was released from the hospital, Willis told local media she had lost her baby.
Now, Colerain Township police say Willis was never pregnant, despite her family’s claims.
