Tonya Harding In NYT Interview: ‘You All Disrespected Me And It Hurt"

In an interview with the New York Times, former Olympic skater Tonya Harding (who now goes by the name Tonya Price) reflects on the success of her the film I, Tonya, in which she is depicted by actress Margot Robbie. The delightfully postmodern take on the true crime genre has been garnering critical approval and may work towards changing public opinion about the disgraced athlete. In the interview, Harding displayed little remorse for the crime she may or may not have been involved with — instead, she reflected on the abuse she has suffered at the hands of trolls, her family, and America.

Harding’s involvement on the attack of her competitor, Nancy Kerrigan, in 1994 has been the subject of scrutiny and international intrigue since the event occurred. Kerrigan had been struck in the knee with a retractable baton by an inept hitman ahead of the Olympic games. It was

Tonya Harding Almost Ends TV Interview After Host Says Nancy Kerrigan Was the Real Victim

Tonya Harding nearly cut short a Tuesday appearance on Good Morning Britain during an interview with host Piers Morgan, who was trying to pin down whether Harding was involved in the 1994 attack on skating rival Nancy Kerrigan.

The segment grew contentious as Harding attempted to redirect the focus onto a new biopic about her life, I, Tonya, starring Margot Robbie. The film dramatizes Harding’s hardscrabble upbringing, including the domestic violence she faced.

“I respect you for trying to ask these questions, however I am really here just to talk about the future and what it means,” Harding told Morgan. “My movie now, to me, is going to help so many people to realize that it is okay to ask for help. It took me so long to be able to ask for somebody to help me. So that’s why I’m here speaking

Interview: Oscar Winner Errol Morris on Making ‘Wormwood’ for …

Peter Sarsgaard in Wormwood. Netflix

A government cover-up involving LSD, a 13-story fall out a hotel window, secret germ warfare laboratories, a CIA allergist, Rogers and Hammerstein’s biggest Broadway flop and an autopsy on a hematoma-marred corpse buried for 41 years: for six decades, these puzzle pieces have nagged at a tortured son endlessly chasing the elusive truth of his father’s suspicious death. And Errol Morris wants answers.

Spanning 258 minutes over a half-dozen episodes, and debuting on Netflix on December 15, Morris’s epic true crime investigation Wormwood is many things—just don’t call it a documentary. As far as director Morris is concerned, it’s the cinematic equivalent of an Everything Bagel. “I don’t know quite how to describe it either,” he said, when I admit to finding it hard to define.

The Oscar-winning filmmaker, who received his Academy Award for 2003’s riveting single-subject study The Fog of

INTERVIEW: Investigation Discovery drills down to find stories of ‘Deadly Dentists’

The blood from the murder spattered across more than just the rug;– it went all over the mail as well. This is a scene from Deadly Dentists’ premiere episode, “Local Fracture.” Photo courtesy of Investigation Discovery.

The title of the newest series on Investigation Discovery is blunt and far from subtle, instantly grabbing the prospective viewer. Deadly Dentists is set to premiere Friday, Nov. 24 at 9 p.m., and as the name suggests, these dark tales uncover murderous stories involving dentists and the ones closest to them personally and professionally.

The premiere episode, dubbed “Local Fracture,” involves a small-town dentist who is mysteriously found dead. Another episode examines whether the wife of a dentist died by suicide or was killed.

At the center of the series — and many other shows on Investigation Discovery — is Tim Baney, executive

Casey Anthony ‘Rolled Her Eyes’ at Her Parents’ New Interview, Sources Say: ‘She Has Moved On’

Casey Anthony has had a tense relationship with her family since her 2011 acquittal on murder and manslaughter charges in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.

She has occasionally spoken with her mother, Cindy, and her brother, Lee. But she has had little contact with her father, George, who was accused by her defense team at her trial of molesting her — a charge he vehemently denies and for which her attorneys offered no evidence.

Last month, Cindy and George gave an interview to Crime Watch Daily where they spoke candidly about their notorious daughter.

Cindy said she believes Casey is mentally ill while George said that he still sees his granddaughter in the house, nine years after her death. And both of them said they Read more at: http://people.com/crime/how-casey-anthony-reacted-parents-new-interview/

What makes a scene work?

Does it lie in the carefully executed plans of a film’s cast and crew? Or does the magic rest upon fortuitous mistakes, spontaneity and improvisation? What steps must be taken to convey your vision and intent? Yet another addition to Netflix’s nearly-unmatched slate of compelling true crime non-fiction series, creator/director Kelly Loudenberg’s The Confession Tapes probes multiple cases of false confessions that have led to the death sentencing of those who’ve confessed. Loudenberg eschews the serial format now expected of this subgenre in favor of focusing on one individual, standalone case per episode. In the video below, she breaks

The Certified Fresh Interview: American Vandal Crushes It, Gets Season 2 Renewal — Creators Dan Perrault and Tony …

American Vandal (Netflix)

American Vandal stormed the streaming world on September 15, bringing with it more dick jokes than have probably ever appeared in one television show in the history of dick jokes. And Netflix today announced that it has renewed the series for a second season of eight episodes to run in 2018.

From creators Dan Perrault and Tony Yacenda, the show parodies the recent spate of true-crime documentary series like the streaming giant’s own Making a Murderer or the hit Serial podcast from the creators of This American Life.

It tells the story of a pair of high school students who make a documentary about a fellow student wrongly accused of spray painting giant pink penises on vehicles in the faculty parking lot. Peter Maldonado (Tyler Alvarez) and Sam Ecklund (Griffin Gluck) take their mission very seriously, but aren’t

Investigation Discovery’s Homicide Hunter with Detective Lt. Megyn Kelly bails on Edie Falco interview at last second as NO celeb guests appear on episode four of her NBC show …

Is Megyn Kelly kind of done with celebrities for now?

The NBC host announced during Wednesday’s episode of ‘Megyn Kelly Today’ that she would be interviewing Edie Falco on Thursday, the beloved actress who shot to fame with ‘The Sopranos’ and can now be seen in the NBC series ‘Law Order True Crime: The Menendez Brothers.’

That plan was changed however in the 23 hours between the end of Megyn’s third episode and the start of her fourth, as the host announced on Thursday that her interview with Falco would be airing next week.

It was a surprising move, and one that left the program with no celebrity guest for the hour, something that is unheard of on morning television.

The move was also one that came in the wake of Megyn coming under fire from ‘Will Grace’ star Debra Messing and Jane Fonda, drawing the ire
