Casey Anthony ‘Rolled Her Eyes’ at Her Parents’ New Interview, Sources Say: ‘She Has Moved On’

Casey Anthony has had a tense relationship with her family since her 2011 acquittal on murder and manslaughter charges in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.

She has occasionally spoken with her mother, Cindy, and her brother, Lee. But she has had little contact with her father, George, who was accused by her defense team at her trial of molesting her — a charge he vehemently denies and for which her attorneys offered no evidence.

Last month, Cindy and George gave an interview to Crime Watch Daily where they spoke candidly about their notorious daughter.

Cindy said she believes Casey is mentally ill while George said that he still sees his granddaughter in the house, nine years after her death. And both of them said they Read more at: http://people.com/crime/how-casey-anthony-reacted-parents-new-interview/

Frame of Mind: To Do True Crime Right, The Confession Tapes Used Private Interview Locations and Macro Lenses …

What makes a scene work?

Does it lie in the carefully executed plans of a film’s cast and crew? Or does the magic rest upon fortuitous mistakes, spontaneity and improvisation? What steps must be taken to convey your vision and intent? Watch our video series, Frame of Mind, to get answers to these questions and more from commentators working in a wide variety of areas in production who’ll guide you through clips from their films, in their own words. Moviemakers and film fans: Grab your notepads, popcorn, or both, and press play.

Yet another addition to Netflix’s nearly-unmatched slate of compelling true crime non-fiction series, creator/director Kelly Loudenberg’s The Confession Tapes probes multiple cases of false confessions that have led to the death sentencing of those who’ve confessed. Loudenberg eschews the serial format now expected of this subgenre in favor of focusing on one individual, standalone case per episode. In the video below, she breaks

The Certified Fresh Interview: American Vandal Crushes It, Gets Season 2 Renewal — Creators Dan Perrault and Tony …

American Vandal (Netflix)

American Vandal stormed the streaming world on September 15, bringing with it more dick jokes than have probably ever appeared in one television show in the history of dick jokes. And Netflix today announced that it has renewed the series for a second season of eight episodes to run in 2018.

From creators Dan Perrault and Tony Yacenda, the show parodies the recent spate of true-crime documentary series like the streaming giant’s own Making a Murderer or the hit Serial podcast from the creators of This American Life.

It tells the story of a pair of high school students who make a documentary about a fellow student wrongly accused of spray painting giant pink penises on vehicles in the faculty parking lot. Peter Maldonado (Tyler Alvarez) and Sam Ecklund (Griffin Gluck) take their mission very seriously, but aren’t

Detective Lt. Joe Kenda stars in Homicide Hunter on Investigation Discovery. Photo courtesy of Investigation Discovery / Kim Cook.

Investigation Discovery’s Homicide Hunter with Detective Lt. Joe Kenda, formerly of the Colorado Springs Police Department, is the top-rated show on the network, pulling in an average of nearly 2 million viewers per week. Audience members for the series, which premieres new episodes Wednesdays at 10 p.m., are also enjoying Kenda’s new autobiography, I Will Find You: Solving Killer Cases From My Life Fighting Crime.

The retired detective has a matter-of-fact line delivery that has caught the attention of true-crime enthusiasts, and in a crowded reality TV marketplace where surviving to see a second season is nearly impossible, Kenda has a hit on his hands. Homicide Hunter will celebrate 100 episodes this January.

That’s longevity.

Megyn Kelly bails on Edie Falco interview at last second as NO celeb guests appear on episode four of her NBC show …

Is Megyn Kelly kind of done with celebrities for now?

The NBC host announced during Wednesday’s episode of ‘Megyn Kelly Today’ that she would be interviewing Edie Falco on Thursday, the beloved actress who shot to fame with ‘The Sopranos’ and can now be seen in the NBC series ‘Law Order True Crime: The Menendez Brothers.’

That plan was changed however in the 23 hours between the end of Megyn’s third episode and the start of her fourth, as the host announced on Thursday that her interview with Falco would be airing next week.

It was a surprising move, and one that left the program with no celebrity guest for the hour, something that is unheard of on morning television.

The move was also one that came in the wake of Megyn coming under fire from ‘Will Grace’ star Debra Messing and Jane Fonda, drawing the ire

Fantastic Fest Interview: Applecart

Genre mash-ups are in the blood of Fantastic Fest, but Applecart is that rarest of cinematic chimeras: a conspiracy creature feature, with an added dash of true crime critique.

The debut feature by writer/director Brad Baruh reunites AJ Bowen (or, as he introduced himself, “not Brad Baruh”) with his You’re Next co-star Barbara Crampton, who in turn adds her Beyond the Gates castmate Brea Grant, along with young stars Shauna Case and Sophie Dalah, in a tale of murder, mystery, politics and the supernatural, all taking place in a remote cabin.

Austin Chronicle: Why would anyone in their right minds volunteer to go into the woods with AJ and Barbara? Because this never ends well. You die in the woods, or do terrible things there.

Barbara Crampton: Yeah, but we’re well mentally, because we get to work out our demons.

AJ Bowen: Speak for youself.

BC: I don’t need therapy, because I work out

The Art of the Taboo Podcast Interview

‘Terrible, Thanks for Asking’ With Nora McInerny

Nora McInerny self-describes as a “notable widow.” In the three years since she was hit with a trio of terrible life events in the space of a few weeks — she suffered a miscarriage, her father died and then her husband died from brain cancer — Ms. McInerny has devoted herself to creative projects that cut through her trauma with insight and levity. She’s written a memoir, created an online support group and now hosts a podcast, “Terrible, Thanks for Asking,” which debuted last November. In it, she meets people who are suffering — a fellow widow, a mother of a teenager shot by the police, a woman who tanked her career — and then solicits honest answers to the question, “How are you?”

Ms. McInerny’s personal

An Interview with Josh Hitchens and Ryan Walter: Going Dark in the …

Print Friendly

Between 1978 and 1991, Jeffrey Dahmer committed the shocking murders of seventeen men, involving necrophilia, dismemberment, cannibalism, and the preservation of the victims’ body parts. After years of law enforcement and the public ignoring the many signs that could have led to his earlier capture, he was ultimately found “guilty but sane” in 1992, and condemned to multiple life sentences (then was beaten to death by a fellow inmate in 1994). Philadelphia’s Going Dark Theatre brings the serial killer’s chilling story to in Hammonton, NJ, with The Confession of Jeffrey Dahmer, presented at the Eagle Theatre in this year’s second annual New Jersey Fringe Festival.
