American Crime Story season 3 will look at Hurricane Katrina – what comes after Versace and what we know so far

The latest season of American Crime Story has come to an end in the US and is hurtling towards the finale in the UK, but there are already plans for another season.

Season one looked at OJ Simpson’s trial, the second at Versace’s murder, and the third will look at Hurricane Katrina.

Her’s what we know about Ryan Murphy’s smash hit show.

When will American Crime Story be released?

There’s quite a way to go. Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Murphy said “That’s a show where we have a lot of things cooking.”

He was speaking after the team had just edited the Versace finale.

“We’re never going to have a Crime Story unless we have the scripts down. I think the reason why Versace went next is because Tom Rob Smith had such a strong take on it. I am not in a rush to move forward with anything unless it’s perfect.”

What’s it about?

Jimmi Simpson talks ‘Unsolved,’ ‘Westworld’ season 2, ‘Black Mirror’ BAFTA nomination [EXCLUSIVE VIDEO INTERVIEW]

“He’s so pared down and focused on one thing and I’m so used to elaborating on characters,” reveals actor Jimmi Simpson about his destructively obsessive character Russell Poole in the new USA limited series “Unsolved.” In our recent webchat (watch the exclusive video above), he adds that Poole is “trying to show how everyone has a sense of humor and everybody cares and there was no sense of humor in Russell Poole.”

The in-progress first season of the true crime anthology series, subtitled “The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.,” primarily splits its time between two story lines. One concerns the initial investigation into the murders led by Poole around two decades ago; the other concerns the reopening of the case about a decade ago by another detective played by Josh Duhamel.

Poole’s career was cut short over his relentless assertion that police covered up their alleged involvement

‘American Crime Story’ Season About Monica Lewinsky Canceled by Ryan Murphy

American Crime Story showrunner Ryan Murphy is nixing his plan to turn the fourth season’s focus on the Monica Lewinsky/President Bill Clinton sex scandal. This may be a disappointment to fans who love Murphy’s takes on ’90s true crime, but the real Lewinsky was “relieved” when she heard the FX season had been called off, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Murphy told THR that he delivered the good news to Lewinsky at a party. “I told her, ‘Nobody should tell your story but you, and it’s kind of gross if they do. If you want to produce it with me, I would love that; but you should be the producer and you should make all the goddamn money.'”

Lewinsky apparently turned down the offer because the idea for the season was scrapped. It’s unclear what sensational saga will replace it, or if Season 4 is still happening at all. FX did not respond to Newsweek‘s request

Season 2 of "Murder Chose Me" is "more gritty, more raw and shows the actual crimes" – KSLA

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) –

Rod Demery worked more than 250 cases in his 14 years as a Shreveport police homicide detective, solving and getting confessions in all of them.

Another 10 will be highlighted in the second season of his show, “Murder Chose Me.”

“I don’t know that there’s a systematic way of doing it or even a logical way of doing it,” he said in discussing this season’s lineup.

“It’s just the cases that are forefront in my mind.”

Season 2 of the true crime show based on real cases that Demery handled premieres at 9 p.m. Wednesday on Investigation Discovery.

And this time around, he said, the focus is more on the cases than on him.

“I kinda like Season 2 better than one,” Demery said.

“One is kinda an introduction. It’s really intimate. It shows who I am.

Are ‘Katrina: American Crime Story’ or ‘Feud’ Season 2 Still Happening?

Ryan Murphy’s $300 million deal with Netflix left us wondering about his many FX projects in development – and with good reason. The busy showrunner says “I don’t quite know” the fate of either Katrina: American Crime Story or a Feud sequel with Princess Diana and Prince Charles.

As The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story wraps up and American Horror Story Season 8 gears up for a summer production, it’s

Andrew Cunanan (Darren Criss) killed himself in Wednesday’s operatic, devastating season finale of FX’s The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. But you might have missed it.

The second season of FX and Ryan Murphy’s American Crime Story anthology was a darkly gorgeous series, as it followed spree killer Cunanan in reverse chronological order, starting with his infamous murder of fashion designer Versace and spinning backward to his disturbing childhood. Then the last episode finally cycled back to the July 15, 1997 death of Versace, after which Cunanan evaded police capture for a few days until he was discovered
